Marymont School of Paris, located in Neuilly sur Seine, is a private,
Catholic elementary school with an international character. Founded
in 1923, it is part of a worldwide system of schools created by the
Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary.
Marymont School of Paris seeks to provide continuity in the education
of children whose families have work assignments abroad and to bring
together children of many cultures and religions in a secure and
intellectually stimulating environment. The school is dedicated
to the education of each individual student and fosters values based
on spiritual and social awareness.
The American curriculum at Marymont School of Paris provides a
varied and challenging school experience for students from pre-Kindergarten
through 8th grade. The core subjects of language, arts, mathematics,
science, social studies and French are taught daily. Specialist
teachers give classes in religion, art, music, computer, Spanish
and physical education. The core curriculum is enhanced through
an inviting library and media center and well-equipped science and
computer labs. The pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs are
based on a Montessori approach enriched with the latest pedagogical
tools.
Marymont School of Paris has a department called Learning Support
Services which includes a Resource Center, English as a Second Language
for students who need English language acquisition skills, and an
Individual Learning Center, self-contained class for children with
special learning needs.
The academic program at Marymont School of Paris is enriched by
extra-curricular activities including sports, art and drama. Field
trips are organized in Paris encouraging an appreciation of French
language and culture. Springtime educational trips are offered to
upper grade students.
Home-school relationships are fostered through regular parent-teacher
conferences and the parents association takes an active part in
many school activities throughout the year.
