Marseille International School serves pupils aged 3 to 6 and offers
a complete bilingual education in French and English. MIS provides
an individualized education with maximum 16 students per classroom.
The school is a prestigious historical building located in the embassies
area of Marseille where excellent public transport is provided.
Because the best age to learn languages is between three and six,
the education is fully bilingual at MIS. The child uses French or
English half time to participate to activities and develops naturally
an expertise in two languages. Marseille International School provides the opportunity for an
early acquisition of fundamental skills thanks to individualized
education. A voluntarily limited number of 16 students per classroom
allows each child to develop to the utmost and to be provided with
individual help as needed. The best learning conditions are offered
through the use of such facilities as a safe and well-equipped playground,
a media centre and specialized teaching rooms As part of the Marseille International School community, the child
builds its self-confidence and develops its social skills: a sense
of responsibility, respect and listening capability. Sports, arts,
tasting sessions and further activities exploit the unique aspects
of the MIS cultural programme, while safeguarding each child's identity. Marseille International School is an independent school recognized
by the National Federation of Non-Religious Private Education. Its
status reflects the desire for total ideological independence. The curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate Primary
Years Programme specifically designed by international schools and
recognized by UNESCO. The teaching staff at Marseille International School attracts internationally
oriented teachers with a broad experience in international schools.
